IBL

In Bound Link. Any link on another page that points to the subject page. Also called a back link.
2.

Impression

If an ad is displayed in an ad network, it is called an impression. The number of times an ad is displayed is equal to the number of impressions.

Inbound Link

A link from another website to your website. Also known as an Incoming Link.
4.

Incoming Link

A link from another website to your website. Also known as an Inbound Link.
5.

Indexing

The process by which search engines collect information and include it into their database of search results.
6.

Indices

Search engines that automatically crawl the Internet for web page and new content. Google and Yahoo are some of the best examples. These search engines have huge amounts of information which is regularly updated.
7.

Inktomi

A database of search results used to power multiple search engines.
8.

IP Address

A unique number which identifies a computer or system.
9.

IP Spoofing

An illegal process of faking an IP address.
