| 3. | BannerAdvertisement for products, services or web sites placed on web pages in the form of an image or animated flash file. Clicking on the banner takes the user to the site/product that was being advertised. |
| 4. | Black Hat SEOSEO practices that involve unethical means of promoting a website are considered Black Hat. These techniques are employed to fool search engine spiders. |
| 5. | BlogWeblogs. An online diary with posts or entries made on a regular basis. Blogs are maintained by real people and some popular blogs might be updated multiple times a day with new posts and content. |
| 6. | BotAbbreviation for Robot, also called a Spider. Bot refers to software programmes that scan the web, indexing webpages for search engines as they go along. |
