First, thanks for your insightful post. When I was a grad. student it was often very difficult for me to limit my comments during class discussions. I always like to share my ideas. The wonderful thing about commenting on blogs is that I can speak out as often as I want. I’m not sure why I have this need, but blogs enable me to fill it. Hopefully I’m also saying interesting things and simultaneously pointing people towards my own blog. Since, I’ve noticed that people sometimes reference my comments on their own blogs, it both makes me feel great and encourages me to keep writing. Now that I know about tracking comments, I’ll be able to follow my own comments.

I like this article. I also make a selling for my affiliate product is 60% dominant from content at my blog, and 40% from PPC advertising that i use.

I also use a top commentators hack to displays link to the top 10 commentators which seems to encourage a bit more interaction as well.

Blog comments are an interesting thing to do. Also, you come across new blogs which increase your knowledge and undestanding about things related to so many different topics and not just SEO.

I also have a similar thread on the digital point forums and commenting is a great way to get to know other bloggers (and to get them to visit your own blog). I enjoy doing it too, so its beneficial for my site, but not as boring as other promotion tactics.
